Sal's Famous Athabasca

Great pizza. The ratio of crust/sauce/toppings/cheese is excellent. For a 16" pizza it was easy to eat and not a floppy mess. The sauce has a nice tang, cheese and toppings tasted fresh. I re-heated the left-overs the next day, and it was delicious. It's our goto when in Athabasca.

I'm always looking for a good mushroom burger. While on a trip home from Athabasca, I asked a local if there were any good and fast places to eat. He said that Sal's has the best mushroom burgers. Sold! Sal's didn't disappoint. It was the best mushroom burger I've had in decades! The bun was super fresh, the beef patty was big, juicy, seasoned and cooked just right, the mushrooms and mushroom sauce were super flavourful, and the cheddar cheese was a tangy surprise. I've promised my mom who lives in Edmonton and loves mushroom burgers too that we'll be making the 2 hour trip north so she can try one too. I'll be back!

Just had a cheese burger and fries and they were beyond delicious!! I'll definitely be going back!!

House special burger was a 10/10 one of the best burgers I've ever tasted

Food is delicious, the prices aren't too bad and service is fast. They have a TV to watch sports on and it's relaxing.

Great lasagna, pizza has no sauce or flavour, wings are good, calzones are awesome, Donaire’s are awesome. Burgers need some flavour.

Outstanding donairs! Friendly and fast service. Plenty of tables. Clean and attractive. Lots of other options on the menu as well but my only experience was with the donair, which was among the best I’ve had anywhere. Perfect blending of sweet and savory in the sauce.

Excellent food. Quick, friendly service. Poutine is definitely a shareable size.
